Skilling Open 2020: Aronian beats Nepomniachtchi in quarterfinals

Armenian GM Levon Aronian defeated Ian Nepomniachtchi of Russia 2.5-1.5 in the quarterfinals of the Skilling Open 2020 online chess tournament, the National Olympic Committee reported.

The quarterfinal matches were played on Wednesday.

The Skilling Open is the first stop of the 2020-21 Champions Chess Tour. With 16 participants, the event is being played on November 22-30.
