Armenia reports 861 new coronavirus cases, 21 deaths on December 18

Armenia has confirmed 861 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 152,253 as of 11 a.m. Friday, December 18, the Ministry of Health reports.

1,223 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 131,213.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 15 to 2,596. 6 patients carrying the virus died from other causes in the past 24 hours.

The number of active cases is 17,796. As many as 561,013 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
