Armenia’s coronavirus cases top 155,000 on December 23

Armenia has confirmed 838 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 155,440 as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, the Ministry of Health reports.

1,052 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 135,638.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 18 to 2,691. Two patients carrying the virus died from other causes in the past 24 hours.

The number of active cases is 16,451. As many as 573,167 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
