Armenian GM Levon Aronian to participate in the Grand Chess Tour

The Grand Chess Tour returns with five tournaments in summer 2021, after it has become clear that there won’t be a Chess Olympiad in 2021.

As the National Olympic Committee reports, Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian will participate in the tournament. Between classical time control events in Bucharest from 3 to 15 June and the Sinquefield Cup in St. Louis on 16–28 August there will be combined rapid and blitz events in Paris, Zagreb and St. Louis. The total prize-fund is $ 1.25 million.
