Ultimate goal of Armenian authorities is to justify outbreak of war in Artsakh, analyst says

The head of Henaket Analytical Center denounced the Armenian authorities for their efforts to justify the outbreak of the war in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in autumn 2020 and Armenia’s defeat in it.

“The overriding goal of the current authorities is to justify the outbreak of the war [in Artsakh] and the losses we suffered during it at all costs, presenting it as a matter of rule,” Tigran Abrahamyan, a former security advisor to the Artsakh president, wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

“Various members of the ruling bloc present the regions handed over to Azerbaijan, directly or covertly, as a manifestation of "restoration of historical justice", and themselves as an important symbol in this process.

“And we continue to tolerate it all, constantly recording new unpleasant episodes," he added.
