Armenia’s coronavirus cases top 180,000 on March 17

Armenia has confirmed 854 new cases of coronavirus in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 180,141 as of 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, the Ministry of Health reports.

211 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 166,913.

The COVID-19 death toll has increased by 5 to 3,282. The figure does not include the deaths of 841 other people carrying the virus. According to the health authorities, they were caused by other diseases.

The number of active cases is 9,105. As many as 784,266 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
