Junior Sergeant Gegham Sahakyan posthumously awarded with Medal for Combat Service

Contract serviceman of the Armenian Armed Forces, Junior Sergeant Gegham Sahakyan has been posthumously awarded  with Medal for Combat Service for services rendered while defending state borders. The relevant decree has been signed by the President of Armenia.

To remind, Junior Sergeant Gegham Sahakyan (b. 1982) sustained a fatal gunshot wound when Azerbaijani forces opened fire at the Armenian positions in the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on September 1.
