Firefighting resumes at Armenia’s Arevik National Park

Firefighting efforts resumed at the Arevik National Park in Syunik Province of Armenia early on Monday, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

Thirty rescue workers and a helicopter of the Defense Ministry are involved in the firefighting, it said.

Some 300 hectares of vegetation has been destroyed by the fire, that broke out at the park on September 15.

Firefighting efforts were suspended on Sunday evening due to darkness.
