Vanetsyan: Mamikon Aslanyan says the struggle will continue until the final victory of Vanadzor residents

Senior opposition MP Artur Vanetsyan, who heads the With Honor faction, on Monday visited arrested former Mayor of Vanadzor Mamikon Aslanyan, who defeated Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party in this month’s elections.

"This morning I visited the Vardashen penitentiary, where Mamikon Aslanyan, an elected member of the Vanadzor Council of Elders (and I am sure, the future mayor), is being illegally held on trumped-up charges,” the MP wrote on Facebook.

“Mamikon asked me to tell his thousands of supporters that he is in fighting mood, his will is unbending, and the struggle will continue until the final victory of Vanadzor residents,” he said.
