Armenia marks Remembrance Day of the Dead

Armenia marks Remembrance Day of the Dead (Merelots) on Friday, January 7. This day follows all main religious holidays.

Yesterday, on January 6, the Armenian Church celebrated the Feast of the Holy Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ, which is the commemoration of the Birth and Baptism of Jesus Christ.

Today all churches celebrate the Divine Liturgy and people visit their relatives’ graves.
