Carpet production down 55.4% in Armenia in 2021

The production of carpets fell sharply in Armenia last year, the latest official statistics show.

The country manufactured a total of 3.3 tons of carpets and carpet products in 2021, which was a drop of 55.4% from 2020, the Statistical Committee said.

Incidentally, 7.4 tons of carpets were manufactured in Armenia in 2020. The output stood at 31.5 tons in 2019 and 26.3 tons in 2018.
