Armenian soldier fatally wounded in military unit

An Armenian serviceman died after suffering gunshot injuries in a military unit on Thursday evening, the Defense Ministry said.

According to preliminary data, the conscript, identified as Samvel Sanoyan (b. 2002), was shot to death by a fellow soldier at around 7:20pm.

“Private Sanoyan died on his way to hospital. An investigation into the circumstances of the incident in underway,” the ministry said.
