Protesters block streets in Yerevan's Shengavit district

A group of protesters on Wednesday blocked streets in Yerevan’s Shengavit district with trucks, demanding that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his team step down.

Denying any affiliation with a political group, one of the demonstrators said the move was aimed at expressing discontent with the policies of the incumbent authorities, accusing them of plotting to cede all of Artsakh to Azerbaijan.

"Those who are against this campaign apparently support the handover of our lands to the enemy, new casualties and a scenario in which the Turks and Azeris would walk around Yerevan,” the activist said.

"Our campaign is aimed at preventing the surrender of Artsakh to Azerbaijan," the protester stated.

Groups of opposition activists held similar protests across Yerevan on Wednesday morning, blocking major roads and bridges.
