Armenian parliament holds special session

The Armenian National Assembly kicked off a special session on Friday to debate supplements to the law on local self government.

The bill has been introduced by MPs Vahe Ghalumyan and Vahagn Hovakimyan from the ruling Civil Contract party.

The draft law would allow a local municipal council member to be elected acting community head.

Only Civil Contract MPs are in attendance of the session.
