Quake hits Georgia-Azerbaijan border area; jolts felt in Armenia

The Territorial Survey for Seismic Protection of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded a magnitude 3․7 earthquake in the Georgia-Azerbaijan border area in the early hours of Tuesday.

The earthquake struck 57 km south-west of the town of Lagodekhi in Georgia at a depth of 10 km.

The tremor measured 5 points on the MSK scale at the epicenter.

The jolts were also felt in Armenia, particularly in the town of Noyemberyan, Koti, Barekamavan and Koghb villages of Tavush Province.
