Magnitude 2․6 quake hits near Armenia's Shorzha

The Territorial Survey for Seismic Protection of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded a magnitude 2․6 earthquake in Gegharkunik Province late on Sunday.

The earthquake struck 2 km east of the village of Shorzha at a depth of 10 km.

The tremor measured 3-4 points on the MSK scale at the epicenter.

The jolts were felt in the town of Gavar as well as several villages in Gegharkunik, including Shorzha, Jil, Artanish, Vahan and Aghberk.
