Yerevan metro evacuated following bomb alert

All stations of the Yerevan metro were evacuated following a bomb warning on Wednesday, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.

A rescue team was dispatched to the scene after the National Center for Crisis Management was alerted about bombs planted at the subway stations at around 1pm.

“As of 1:30pm, the operations of the Yerevan metro have been suspended. All passengers and staff have been evacuated,” the ministry said.

No other details were immediately available.
