Rescuers catch 5 snakes in Armenia in two days

Employees of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations found and caught 5 snakes in the country from August 29 to 31, the ministry said.

In particular, the snakes were spotted in the capital Yerevan, the towns of Abovyan (Kotayk Province), Ashtarak (Aragatsotn Province) and Berd (Tavush Province).

The rescuers dispatched to the scene caught 1 red-bellied racer, 2 levant blunt-nosed vipers and 2 whipsnakes, moving them to a safe area.
