Earthquake strikes Iran, tremors felt in Armenia, Artsakh

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck northwestern Iran early on Wednesday,

The quake was 9 km south-west from the city of Marand and at a depth of 10 km, the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

The tremors were felt in Armenia’s Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Ararat, Kotayk Provinces, the capital Yerevan and Artsakh, measured at 3-4.
