French FM confirms need to extend EU mission mandate in Armenia

French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna has confirmed the need to extend the mandate of the EU observation mission deployed in Armenia since October 20, former French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte said on Facebook.

"This mission has effectively limited the risks of escalation by monitoring the situation at the border,” he quoted the minister as saying on Tuesday.
