Armenia's Varazdat Lalayan wins bronze at World Weightlifting Championships

Armenian weightlifter Varazdat Lalayan has earned a bronze medal at the 2022 World Weightlifting Championships held in Bogota, Colombia.

He lifted a combined weight of 461 kg, with 215 kg in snatch and 246 kg in clean and jerk to win bronze on Friday, Armenia’s National Olympic Committee reported on Saturday.

Earlier on Wednesday, Samvel Gasparyan (102 kg) won a bronze medal for the Armenian team with a combined total of 389 kg.
