Turkish Airlines cancels nearly 240 flights due to snow

Turkish Airlines has canceled 238 flights scheduled for Sunday and Monday due to heavy snow expected in Istanbul, RIA Novosti reported, citing the airline’s press office.

The company had earlier warned of the likelihood of flight cancellations due to adverse weather conditions.

"238 flights to and from Istanbul Airport on Sunday and Monday have been cancelled, including 72 domestic and 166 international flights," the air company said, adding their number may increase.
