Armenia's Vazgen Tevanyan wins gold at Alexandria wrestling tournament

Armenian freestyle wrestler Vazgen Tevanyan has pocketed a gold medal at the Ibrahim Moustafa Ranking Series event in Alexandria, Egypt.

He defeated Joseph McKenna of the United States 8-2 in the final on Sunday to win the 65kg gold medal.

Tevanyan earned the U23 world title last year.

Six Armenian freestyle wrestlers were among the tournament contestants.
