Snowfall reported in Armenia's Ashotsk

Some roads are closed to traffic in Armenia as of Friday morning, the Rescue Service reports.

In particular, the roads linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province remain closed.

Snowfall is reported in the Ashotsk region.

According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is open to all traffic.

Drivers are strongly urged to use winter tires.
