Armenia's Investigative Committee reveals details of soldier's death

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has revealed details of soldier Andranik Ohanyan’s death, saying his body was found hanged from a tree in a forest near his military unit.

The conscript was found dead on Wednesday.

Law enforcement authorities say he may have committed suicide.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 522 of the Criminal Code which deals with reckless abetment of suicide, the Investigative Committee said in a statement.

The probe is underway.
