Rains, thunderstorms to prevail over most parts of Armenia

The rainy weather will persist in most parts of Armenia on Thursday and Friday, with sleet expected in the country’s mountainous regions.

There is also a high probability of thunderstorms, the weather service says.

No precipitation is forecast for the weekend.

Strong winds of up to 20 m/s are expected in some parts of the country over the coming days.

Temperatures are set to drop by 5-7C on Thursday and overnight Friday to rise as much during the weekend.

The capital Yerevan will also see rainfall and thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday.
