Armenian Defense Ministry says soldier suffered gunshot wound

An Armenian serviceman has suffered an injury, according to preliminary data, following a shot fired from his own service gun, the Defense Ministry reported on Friday.

The health condition of the soldier, identified only by his initials as H.S., is assessed as serious but stable.

An investigation into the incident is underway, the ministry said.
