Armenian positions hit by cross-border fire

Armenia’s Defense Ministry said that its positions near the border villages of Verin Shorzha and Sotk came under Azerbaijani fire on Wednesday night.

“Overnight June 21 and 22, between 10:55 p.m. and 12: 45 a.m., the Azerbaijani armed detachments opened fire on the Armenian combat positions in the eastern section of the frontier zone near Verin Shorzha and Sotk, using different caliber small arms,” the ministry said in a statement.

The Armenian military suffered no casualties.
