Red Cross facilitates transfer of 17 Artsakh patients to Armenia

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has facilitated the transfer of 17 severely ill patients from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia amid the Azerbaijani blockade, the Artsakh Ministry of Health reported.

The patients were transported to specialized medical facilities in Armenia on Monday, the ministry said in a statement.

17 other patients, who have completed their treatment in Armenia, are set to return to Artsakh together with their attendants today.

31 children are undergoing treatment in the Arevik Medical Center. 5 of them are in neonatal and intensive care.

83 adult patients, including 3 critically ill, are in the Republican Medical Center.

The Red Cross resumed medical evacuations from Artsakh to Armenia on Sunday, ten days after they were blocked by Baku.
