Fallen soldier's mother gives birth to baby girl

Natalya Davtyan, whose son Harut Hovhannisyan was killed in the 2020 Artsakh war, has given birth to a baby girl.

The baby was born at Yerevan’s Shengavit Medical Center on June 29.

The hospital says the woman had no pregnancy or childbirth complications.

The baby has been named Nare, as her fallen brother loved the song “Nare” by the Armenian rock band Nemra.

Both the mother and the baby are doing well and are already at home.
