Armenia's teachers stand with Artsakh

The Teachers' Union of Armenia on Saturday handed a petition to the head of the UN Office in Yerevan, demanding delivery of relief supplies to Artsakh to prevent humanitarian catastrophe there, its coordinator Shogher Babayan said. The union includes 10,000 teachers.

“Teachers stand with the 120,000 Armenians of Artsakh,” she wrote on Facebook.

The citizen’s initiative Opening started collecing food, medicine and other essential goods for Artsakh outside the UN headquarters on July 19.

The people of Artsakh have been living under Azerbaijan's unlawful blockade for over seven months now.
