Azeri man assaults Armenian girl near UN headquarters in New York

A group of Azerbaijanis attacked Armenians holding a rally in support of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) outside the United Nations headquarters in New York on Wednesday.

One of the Azerbaijanis assaulted a young Armenian girl. Her father stepped in and was arrested.

One of the protesters, Tiran Antaplian, said the man was released at around 10 p.m. New York time.

“The Azeri who assaulted his daughter is being charged officially,” he added.
