Protest against Artsakh blockade held in New York

A protest against the Artsakh blockade was held outside the United Nations headquarters in New York on Monday.

Hundreds of Armenian protesters demanded action to end Azerbaijan’s months-long blockade of the Lachin Corridor, the sole road linking Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia.

The blockade has led to severe shortages of food, medicine, fuel and other basic goods in Artsakh. The country’s authorities reported the first death from starvation last week.
