Azerbaijan initiates arbitration proceedings against Armenia

Azerbaijan has launched arbitration proceedings against Armenia for "large-scale environmental hazard" in accordance with the rules of the Berne Convention, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Supreme Court Chingiz Asgarov said on Saturday.

His remarks came at the international conference of judges themed “Access to justice in the field of ecology”, being held by the Supreme Court and the Association of Judges of Kyrgyzstan in the resort town of Cholpon-Ata on September 14-16, the Azerbaijani media reported.
