Azeri forces closely approached Stepanakert suburb, entered houses, ex-official says
Azerbaijani troops closely approached a suburb of Stepanakert and even entered the first houses when they violated the new Russian-brokered ceasefire deal on Thursday, Artsakh’s former State Minister Artak Beglaryan said on Saturday.
“Azerbaijani forces closely approached this suburb of Stepanakert and even entered the first houses. The ceasefire violation of September 21 occurred here. Entire Krkzhan is empty because of high security risks,” he said in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), sharing a video posted by journalist Marut Vanyan.
The reporter said residents of the neighborhood had found refuge in the city center.
