Former deputy chief of Artsakh army taken captive by Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan’s State Security Service has taken captive Davit Manukyan, a former deputy commander of Artsakh’s (Nagorno-Karabakh) armed forces.

According to local media reports, Azerbaijani authorities accuse him of “terrorism offences”.

Earlier on Friday, Azerbaijani forces captured Lieutenant-General Levon Mnatsakanyan, a former Artsakh army commander, at the Lachin checkpoint as he attempted to leave Artsakh for Armenia.
