Paris City Council votes to grant honorary citizenship to Artsakh Armenians

The Paris City Council on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution to grant honorary citizenship to Armenians displaced from their homes in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the Armenian Embassy in France reported.

The resolution condemns the ongoing crimes committed by Azerbaijan against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, including the military aggression on September 19 and genocide against the Artsakh Armenians.

In confirmation of the continued support provided by Paris to the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, under the resolution, the Artsakh Armenians are symbolically granted the honorary citizenship of Paris, the embassy said.
