Armenian soldier killed by Azeri fire awarded posthumously

The Armenia president has signed a decree to award the Medal for Combat Service to Aram Kocharyan, a soldier killed by Azerbaijani fire in early October.

The soldier was part of a team delivering food to Armenian combat outposts near the village of Kut in Gegharkunik Province when their vehicle came under Azeri fire on October 2.

Two other Armenian soldiers were wounded in the attack. They were said to be out of danger.
