Armenian government plans to double spending on monuments

The Armenian government plans to double its spending on monuments next year, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan said on Thursday.

The draft state budget for 2024 envisages a record sum of 1 billion 159 million drams for the repair and restoration of monuments, she told parliamentary hearings.

The minister said 13 monuments would be anchored, repaired or restored.
