'A disgrace': Azerbaijan elected vice-president of UNESCO General Conference

Jean-Christophe Buisson, deputy director of Le Figaro magazine, has denounced the decision to elect Azerbaijan vice-president of the 42nd UNESCO General Conference.

“UNESCO did not see fit to condemn the Azeris for their 9-month blockade of Artsakh, which prevented thousands of Armenian children from attending school. Now it elects Azerbaijan Vice-President of its General Conference. It’s a disgrace,” Buisson said in a post on X on Wednesday.
