Another quake strikes Azerbaijan-Iran border

A second earthquake measuring magnitude 4.7 hit the Azerbaijan-Iran border area on Wednesday morning.

The quake was 59 km southeast of the city of Parsabad and at a depth of 10 km, the seismic protection agency of Armenia’s Interior Ministry reported.

The tremors were felt in the towns of Kajaran, Meghri, Sisian and Goris in Armenia’s Syunik Province, measured at 2-3.

The Interior Ministry said earlier a magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck the Azerbaijan-Iran border.
