Armenian team wins 3 bronze medals on first day of World Sambo Championships

The Armenian team has earned three bronze medals on the first day of the World Sambo Championships 2023 being held in Yerevan, Armenia, from November 10 to 12.

Sargis Vardanyan (79 kg), Arman Avanesyan (98 kg) and Varsik Grigoryan (54 kg) won bronze for Armenia on Friday, the Sambo Federation of Armenia said.

Almost 600 sportsmen from 71 countries have arrived to Yerevan for the World Sambo Championships.
