Paris mayor calls for release of Armenian political prisoners held in Azerbaijan

Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo has called for the release of 55 Armenian political prisoners held by Azerbaijan, Franck Papazian, co-chair of the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF), said on Sunday.

"With Anne Hidalgo we called for the release of the 55 Armenian political prisoners held by Azerbaijan," he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), thanking former ICC chief prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo, French politicians Xavier Bertrand and François-Xavier Bellamy, a member of the European Parliament, for their support.

Papazian also posted photos of the meeting with the Paris mayor.
