Armenian weightlifter Gor Sahakyan wins junior world title

Armenian weightlifter Gor Sahakyan has earned a gold medal at the 2023 World Junior Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Sahakyan won the men’s 67kg junior world title with a combined total of 305kg (140kg in snatch and 165kg in clean and jerk) on Saturday. Separately, he took the snatch gold and the clean and jerk silver.

Earlier on Friday, Alexandra Grigoryan won the women’s 55kg.
