Measles cases rise to 500 in Armenia

The number of measles cases in Armenia has reached 500, the health authorities report.

Six new cases were confirmed in the past week.

One measles patient is currently hospitalized, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention said on Tuesday.

As many as 321 patients have been discharged from the hospital.

354 of the virus cases have been reported among children, the authorities said.

A child died from measles in Armenia in October.
