Armenia's Garik Karapetyan wins gold at IWF World Junior Championships

Armenian weightlifter Garik Karapetyan has claimed a gold medal at the 2023 IWF World Junior Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Karapetyan won the men’s 102kg junior world title after lifting a total of 378kg (175kg in snatch and 203kg in clean and jerk) on Thursday. Also, he took the small gold medals in both events.

Gor Sahakyan and Alexandra Grigoryan won gold medals at the World Junior Championships earlier last week.
