Magnitude 5․6 quake hits Azerbaijan, felt in Armenia

A magnitude 5․6 earthquake struck Azerbaijan on Thursday morning.

The quake was 61 km north of the town of Sumgait and at a depth of 18 km, the seismic protection agency of Armenia’s Interior Ministry reported.

The tremors were felt in Armenia, including in the towns of Noyemberyan, Ijevan, Dilijan and Berd and the village of Achajur, measured at 3.
