Mihran Poghosyan not yet extradited to Armenia

Russia has not yet extradited ex-top official Mihran Poghosyan to Armenia, the Prosecutor General’s Office said.

“Efforts are underway to arrange the extradition of Mihran Poghosyan to Armenia,” the law-enforcement agency told Panorama.am on Tuesday.

Poghosyan was detained in Moscow on November 20.

The former official is wanted by Yerevan on corruption charges denied by him as politically motivated.

He was Armenia’s chief compulsory enforcement officer from June 2008 to April 2016.
