Armenians bid farewell to singer Ara Martirosyan

Family, friends, colleagues and fans of Ara Martirosyan gathered at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan on Wednesday to bid a final farewell to the renowned singer.

He died from a cardiac arrest at the age of 46 on December 15.

"What can I say, we'd been friends for 25 years. For me, the loss of my brother is extremely painful. We lost our kindest and most generous brother," Ara Martirosyan's friend, singer Saro, told reporters.

He said that they visited Uzbekistan recently.

"I didn't like his mood. He had changed a lot. He had problems... Unfortunately, he is no longer with us. Whatever we say now, it will not change the fact that he is no longer with us," the singer noted.
