Iran extradites convict to Armenia for first time

Iran has extradited a convicted Armenian man to Armenia to serve the rest of his jail term in his home country for the first time, the Ministry of Justice reported on Friday.

The decision was part of a humanitarian convict extradition agreement between Armenia and Iran.

The ministry highlighted that Armenia had handed over dozens of convicts to Iran under the agreement.
